Drug manufacturers agree to $49.1M settlement in price-fixing case

Both companies must implement internal reforms to ensure antitrust compliance under the settlement.

Heritage Pharmaceuticals and Apotex Corp. agreed to pay $49.1 million to resolve allegations of price manipulation in the generic drug market, according to a settlement announced Thursday by a coalition of 50 states and territories.
