Rick Caruso sued over contract struck during mayoral campaign

A text messaging company is suing the businessman and former candidate for Los Angeles mayor over an alleged failure to pay for text messaging services linked to the campaign.

A new lawsuit in Los Angeles County Superior Court claims that businessman and former mayoral candidate Rick Caruso breached a contract by failing to pay for text messaging services during his 2022 campaign.

The complaint filed Tuesday by Advance Local Media LLC names Caruso and his mayoral campaign as defendants.
