Microsoft: 9th Circuit should reject stay of injunction against Google to boost Xbox game

Attorneys for Google, an Alphabet Inc. subsidiary, filed an emergency motion seeking a stay, but no action has been taken while several technology organizations urged the appellate court to grant it.

Microsoft Corp. argued in an amicus curiae brief that the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals should reject a stay on part of an injunction issued by a district judge against Google LLC or its own planned launch of new Xbox games would be jeopardized.

The judge had ordered Google to open its Google Play store to all app developers, among other changes.
