Golf course plaintiffs get one more swing

The city of Los Angeles appears to have prevailed, for now, in a lawsuit accusing it of failing to enforce fairness of the tee-time booking process at city-owned golf courses.

A proposed class action accusing the city of Los Angeles of failing to protect the fairness of golf tee-time booking fell short of the green on Monday as a superior court judge tentatively sustained demurrers by the city.

Judge David S. Cunningham III sided with the city in his tentative ruling but granted the plaintiffs a potential mulligan in the form of leave to amend on some of the issues.
