The California State Bar announced Friday that 53.8% of candidates passed the July General Bar Examination.
The latest results show a modest improvement from July 2023's 51.5% pass rate and July 2022's 52.4%. Among the 8,291 test-takers, first-time candidates significantly outperformed repeat examinees, with 68.2% of first-timers passing compared to 23.5% of repeat takers.
