San Mateo County court names Texas judge and administrator as executive officer

Presiding Judge-elect Stephanie G. Garratt said Chad L. Peace has the experience to navigate current budget cuts.

The San Mateo County Superior Court has hired a court executive from Texas to lead the court's business operations.

Chad L. Peace, who will join the court in February, currently serves as director of Justice Court services for Harris County (Houston) Texas and is a municipal court judge in Montgomery County.

Peace will succeed Neal I. Taniguchi, who is retiring after 37 years of government service, six as the court's chief executive.
