UC Regents seek to relate cases filed by Jewish, pro-Palestine students

Attorneys for the UC Regents claim the two cases involve a "common nucleus of facts." Plaintiffs' attorney Mohammad K. Tajsar says the cases involve "very different circumstances."

Attorneys for the University of California seek to relate two lawsuits against the university stemming from pro-Palestine protests at UCLA and other campuses earlier this year.

The first case was filed in May by a Jewish UCLA student. The first amended complaint lists four Doe Jewish students who claim they were harmed by UC's alleged violation of its policies and state and federal laws in its handling of pro-Palestine protests at UCLA and other campuses.
