VA wins stay on 100 urgent shelters but not future housing obligations
The 9th Circuit stayed an order for 100 immediate shelters for veterans in West LA while a district judge denied a stay of other portions of his order on future use of the VA land and future housing obligations.
A federal judge on Wednesday denied the VA's bid to stay portions of his order that required it to execute future land-use agreements and sheltering obligations for homeless veterans in Los Angeles according to his court-approved terms.
