$164M Riverside jury verdict for apparel supplier driven out of business

Following a two-month trial in Riverside County Superior Court, Bird Marella Rhow Lincenberg Drooks & Nessim LLP partners Ekwan E. Rhow and Gopi K. Panchapakesan were able to convince jurors that LuLaRoe owners formed more than 30 entities to secretly siphon tens of millions of dollars in cash and assets to carry out a fraudulent scheme.

A $164 million jury verdict was secured for a defunct apparel supplier against fashion conglomerate LuLaRoe LLC and its businesses over claims of fraudulently over-ordering products to cover outstanding invoices.

This scheme eventually forced Providence Industries LLC, doing business as MyDyer, to go out of business, according to the complaint.
