Jury awards $292M in false advertising case

A jury in San Francisco found that cancer test maker Natera made false and misleading claims about rival Guardant's product.

A federal jury in San Francisco has awarded $292.5 million in damages to biotechnology company Guardant Health Inc. in its false advertising dispute with rival Natera Inc. over claims related to the efficacy of its colorectal cancer test.

Natera said it will ask the judge to overturn the verdict.
