Mountain West seeks dismissal of Pac-12 poaching penalty suit
The response seeks dismissal of a lawsuit the Pac-12 filed in the Northern District of California arguing that a penalty against it for "poaching" five Mountain West football schools violates the Sherman Act and state laws.
Attorneys for the Mountain West Conference fired back at the Pac-12 Conference, arguing that the latter's decision to take some, but not all, of its members while challenging termination fees violates their agreement and is not an antitrust violation.
