Circuit reverses selective prosecution ruling for accused arsonists

It is the second time within months that the circuit has reversed a Central District of California judge's dismissal of criminal charges on selective prosecution grounds.

A 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals panel reversed a district judge's decision that dismissed an arson charge against two men accused of setting a Santa Monica police car on fire during protests and violence following the murder of George Floyd in 2020.
