AB 2193: Schools on the hook for hazing accountability

As of September 2024, there is a new urgency for institutions to devise and implement anti-hazing measures. California Assembly Bill 2193 (AB 2193) combats hazing activities in educational and extracurricular contexts. Hazing is defined as a method of initiation or preinitiation into a student organization or student body that is likely to cause serious bodily injury to a former, current or prospective student of an educational institution.
