U.S. Sen. Adam Schiff, D-CA, best known as the leader of the U.S. House of Representatives' first impeachment of President-elect Donald Trump, will be one of those evaluating the incoming president's nominees for judicial vacancies and U.S. attorney positions in the new U.S. Senate.
He will do it in the minority, as Republicans - in the wake of winning control of the Senate in the November election - will have a 12-10 majority on the Senate Judiciary Committee.
