Former congresswoman Katie Porter joins UC Irvine's law faculty
Former U.S. Rep. Katie Porter is returning to UC Irvine School of Law after three terms in Congress, bringing her expertise in consumer protection and business law. Joining her is Charles "Chas" Tyler, a constitutional law scholar from George Washington University, whose work on legal precedent has earned national acclaim.
Former U.S. Rep. Katie Porter is returning to her previous role at UC Irvine School of Law. Additionally, the law school announced the appointment of Charles "Chas" Tyler, a constitutional law professor, who joins the faculty from George Washington University Law School.
"Their diverse experiences and deep expertise will further enhance UC Irvine Law's vibrant academic community," Dean Austen Parrish said in a statement.
