A Superior Court judge has been selected by the Alameda County Board of Supervisors to become the county's new district attorney for a term of at least two years.
Judge Ursula Jones Dickson was selected by the five-member board on Tuesday after hours of deliberation and votes eliminating other candidates. She is expected to be sworn in by Feb. 4 to replace Pamela Price, who was ousted by voters by recall in November after two years of her term.
