State law reforms give policyholders a choice of whether to rebuild or relocate

Los Angeles wildfires have destroyed thousands of homes, giving residents the option to rebuild or relocate using insurance funds, but affordability, rising costs, and emotional strain make the decision difficult.

The wildfires in Los Angeles have taken lives, torched communities, and as of this writing destroyed more than 12,000 structures--at least 10,000 of them homes. My heart aches for all those affected.
