Judge changes mind, upholds jury's $71.5M award to OMG Girlz in doll case

A federal judge in Orange County reversed his tentative order, affirming a $71.5 million verdict for the OMG Girlz and T.I. against MGA Entertainment in a trade dress dispute over "L.O.L. Surprise! O.M.G." dolls.

A federal judge in Santa Ana changed his mind and affirmed a $71.5 million jury verdict for members of an Atlanta pop group and rapper Clifford "T.I." Harris in their four-year trade dress dispute against toymaker MGA Entertainment.

It is the first win for the artist counterclaimants in the case, which began in 2020 and finished its third jury trial last September.
