Roblox sues PlayerAuctions, claims unauthorized game asset sales

Roblox Corp. sues PlayerAuctions, claiming trademark infringement and unauthorized sales of game assets. Roblox seeks a court injunction to protect its virtual economy and IP from counterfeit sales.

Roblox Corp., the company behind one of the internet's most popular games, filed a trademark lawsuit and a preliminary injunction motion against a video game account resale marketplace, PlayerAuctions Inc., claiming the defendant's business was unauthorized and "undercut Roblox's legitimate business."

The complaint and motion were filed by Roblox's attorneys from Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP in federal court in Oakland on Monday. They claimed that...
