Former captain says San Mateo sheriff gave him illegal orders
A former San Mateo County Sheriff's captain has filed a lawsuit alleging whistleblower retaliation and wrongful termination by Sheriff Christina Corpus, who faces an attempt by the board of supervisors to remove her over abuse of power claims. The suit accuses Corpus and her aide of targeting him for refusing illegal orders.





The ongoing turmoil at the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office took another turn with the filing of a complaint by a former captain which accuses embattled Sheriff Christina Corpus, and thus the county, of whistleblower retaliation and wrongful termination.
