Lawmakers urged to reconsider judicial branch budget increase
A new report from the Legislative Analyst's Office suggests lawmakers should withhold or restrict an $82 million budget increase for California's judiciary, questioning spending priorities. The California judiciary could be in for a budget fight, according to a new report from the nonpartisan Legislative Analyst's Office.
The report released Wednesday recommended lawmakers consider withholding an $82 million budget increase -- or at least give the judicial branch less leeway about how to spend it.
