Southwest settles military leave pay class action led by pilot
Southwest Airlines and 2,700 employees settled a class action over military leave pay. The agreement was filed just before a potential class decertification hearing. Financial details remain undisclosed.





Attorneys for Southwest Airlines and 2,700 current and former employees agreed in principle to settle a class action that has been pending since 2019 over claims the airline violated federal law by refusing to pay workers on short-term military leave. The airline argued that discovery showed discrepancies in the number of hours the pilots said they were on reserve military duty.
