Appeal court denies SF public defender's writs on court reporters

The 1st District Court of Appeal denied the Alameda County public defender's request for an order that the court provide court reporters during a strike.

The Court of Appeal has denied two petitions by the Alameda County public defender seeking emergency orders to make the superior court provide court reporters in felony proceedings during a strike that included all 40 of the reporters assigned to the court.
