A judge greenlights fraud claims by parents tied to the 'Varsity Blues' scandal against USC over a $100,000 donation, though a negligent misrepresentation charge is dismissed as untimely.

Parents of a USC student who were implicated in the 'Varsity Blues' bribery scandal will have their claims of fraud and intentional misrepresentation against the university heard in court, a Los Angeles judge tentatively ruled on Monday.

A claim of negligent misrepresentation was blocked on statute of limitation grounds, however.
