Pepperdine claims Netflix misuse of name and colors

Pepperdine seeks to halt Netflix's "Running Point," alleging trademark misuse of its 'Waves' identity, while Netflix argues artistic relevance ahead of a Tuesday court hearing.

Pepperdine University is urging a judge to stop Netflix from releasing its upcoming sports comedy series, "Running Point," because of an alleged unauthorized use of the university's identity trademarks, according to a new lawsuit.
