Farmworkers claim Border Patrol racially profiled in immigration raids

The plaintiffs claim Border Patrol agents targeted Latino communities, detained individuals without probable cause, and coerced farmworkers into "voluntary departure"--separating them from their families and homes. The lawsuit seeks to halt these practices and hold federal agencies accountable.

The United Farm Workers and five Kern County residents on Wednesday sued the Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection following a series of immigration raids conducted in the Central Valley last month.
