Fresno Diocese states bankruptcy plan in sex abuse trial hearing
The Fresno Diocese, facing 150 sexual abuse claims, plans to file for bankruptcy in March, stirring controversy over whether the move delays justice or ensures fair compensation for survivors.




The attorneys for the Diocese of Fresno, which is facing historic sexual abuse claims, announced plans to declare bankruptcy during an Alameda County Superior Court hearing. The lead attorney for the plaintiffs said it was an "abuse (of) Chapter 11 bankruptcy as a tactic to delay justice."
