Judge ends $195M Kaiser lawsuit over fatal crash

A Los Angeles judge rejected a $195M lawsuit against Kaiser, ruling the company isn't liable for a nurse's off-duty crash that killed five, citing insufficient employment nexus.

A Los Angeles County judge has ended a lead plaintiff's complaint against Kaiser Foundation Health Plan that arose from a fatal car crash allegedly caused by a traveling nurse who left her shift early. Victims' family members collectively sought $195 million.
