Business owners sue in US court over Moss Landing Power Plant fire

No cause has yet been determined for the power plant fire in Monterey County in January, but a federal lawsuit has now been filed by two business owners, in addition to the complaint filed in superior court.

Two business owners on Thursday accused Moss Vistra Corp., a Texas based energy company, of causing the Jan. 16 fire at the Moss Landing Power Plant in Monterey County by "recklessly" designing and maintaining the facility holding thousands of lithium-ion batteries.
