Judge upholds LADI's senior deed in stalled LA tower dispute

Judge rules L.A. Downtown Investment LP's deed trumps Lendlease's claims on a stalled L.A. tower, dismissing fraud allegations and eyeing a bankruptcy fix for the vandalized project.

A ruling in Los Angeles County Superior Court found that L.A. Downtown Investment LP or LADI, holds the senior, valid deed of trust on a stalled tower development famous for falling into disrepair and vandalism. This decision gives LADI priority over mechanics' liens and any claims asserted by its opponent, Lendlease Construction.
