'Moana' director testifies film was his own creation
Despite contentions by independent animator Buck Woodall that the film's story was stolen from him, the director, John Musker, denied he or Disney knew of Woodall and his "Bucky the Surfer" works.




A Disney filmmaker who co-wrote and directed "Moana" told a Los Angeles federal jury on Tuesday that the film was created independently with no outside influence except for Polynesian folklore that he wanted to bring to life through animation.
