Judge reconsiders summary judgment in UCLA Health race discrimination case

A Los Angeles judge paused a summary judgment ruling in a UCLA Health racial discrimination case after hearing arguments, taking the matter under submission on the allegations of harassment.

A Los Angeles County judge backtracked on his tentative decision to grant summary judgment to the Regents of the University of California in a case claiming that a UCLA Health employee racially discriminated against and harassed his subordinates.

Judge Tony L. Richardson issued a tentative ruling partially granting the regents' motion for summary judgment but decided instead to take the matter under submission after hearing arguments from counsel on Wednesday.
