Federal Judges Association warns against threats to judiciary

The organization issued a statement Wednesday condemning threats against the judiciary and warning that attacks on judicial independence endanger democracy. The statement follows Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr.'s recent denunciation of intimidation and political pressure on courts.

A federal judges' group warned against threats to the judiciary in a statement Wednesday.

"The security of federal judges and all those serving in the judicial branch of our government is fundamental to their ability to uphold the rule of law, and to fulfill their constitutional duty without fear or undue influence," the Federal Judges Association wrote in a statement.
