City backs down after court orders $14M bond in housing dispute

La Cañada Flintridge abandons its fight against a court order, paving the way for an 80-unit housing project under the builder's remedy law after facing a $14 million bond.

The city of La Cañada Flintridge has dropped its challenge of a Los Angeles County court order to process a housing developer's application to build a multi-family apartment project that was submitted under the builder's remedy provision of the Housing Accountability Act.
