A power struggle between management and staff is brewing at Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center.
The medical staff claims that management illegally interfered in the election of its executive committee and unilaterally attempted to amend bylaws to get control over the staff, which is self-governed. Attorneys with Latham & Watkins LLP sued the hospital in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Monday on behalf of the staff.
