Judge grants mistrial after attorney struggles with trial demands

An attorney who said she was overwhelmed by lack of firm support, won a mistrial in a corruption case against Antioch police. The judge granted it, citing her inability to represent her client effectively.

An attorney who had battled with a federal judge over missed deadlines, sanctions threats and claims of bias declared herself unable "to provide effective representation" due to lack of administrative support from her firm and requested a mistrial in a federal criminal corruption case against two Antioch police officers.
