LA DA opposes Menendez resentencing without admission of guilt

Los Angeles DA Nathan Hochman opposes resentencing the Menendez brothers unless they admit to murdering their parents and lying about self-defense, as Gov. Newsom eyes parole revisions.

Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman said Monday he opposes a motion by his predecessor, George Gascón, to initiate resentencing proceedings for the Menendez brothers, who were convicted and sentenced for murdering their parents, but said his office is prepared to move forward on a similar court-initiated motion. He said they must admit they committed the murders and lied about self-defense.
