Santa Ana fights church's use of zoned office building for services
Santa Ana opposes Anchor Stone Christian Church's motion to use a $1.6M property for worship, citing zoning violations, while the church alleges unconstitutional restrictions under federal law and says there is already another church across the street.




A month after being accused of arbitrarily preventing Anchor Stone Christian Church from using a newly purchased property for religious gatherings, the city of Santa Ana urged a federal judge to deny the church's motion that, if granted, would allow its members - for the first time - to use the space for worship while the litigation pends.
