Bonta secures $1.3M settlement over unauthorized health plans

Attorney General Rob Bonta announced a $1.3 million settlement with Sedera Inc. and its affiliate for marketing unauthorized health plans in California. The settlement includes $800,000 in restitution for consumers and $560,000 in civil penalties, barring the companies from selling or marketing plans in the state.

Attorney General Rob Bonta announced a $1.3 million settlement with companies that the state alleged had operated and marketed unauthorized health service plans and insurance to Californians.
