LA's encampment clean-ups aren't reductions, judge says
A federal judge ruled Los Angeles misrepresented temporary encampment clean-ups as permanent reductions, violating a 2022 housing settlement, with further breach arguments set for Thursday.
A federal judge on Monday found the city of Los Angeles has been improperly reporting its homelessness reduction efforts pursuant to promised milestones and deadlines in a five-year housing agreement that was settled in 2022.
