Petition to recall Contra Costa County DA is filed
Crime victims in Contra Costa County have filed a petition to recall DA Diana Becton, alleging leniency on crime. Over 76,000 signatures are needed to trigger appear on the ballot.
A petition has been registered to gather signatures for the recall of Contra Costa County District Attorney Diana Becton, over claims she has not taken enough action against criminals.
The petition filed Friday states it is on behalf of "families, local business owners and employees, as well as residents of Contra Costa County," who have become "increasingly concerned about the persistent cycle of unaddressed criminal activity."
