Family files wrongful death claim after fatal Fullerton police shooting

The family of a recent high school graduate shot and killed by Fullerton police during a March 15 call is seeking legal action, alleging negligent training and excessive force.

The family of an 18-year-old graduate of Fullerton High School filed a wrongful death claim against the City of Fullerton, alleging that police officers used unjustified deadly force during a March 15 disturbance call. The claim, submitted Wednesday, is the first step toward a potential lawsuit.
