Judge accused of acting as secretary's lawyer agrees to retire, counsel says

Santa Barbara County Judge Michael Carrozzo, accused of posing as his judicial secretary's lawyer, has agreed to retire in September, settling with the Commission on Judicial Performance and canceling a planned disciplinary hearing, his attorneys said.

An evidentiary hearing set for Monday in a discipline case against Santa Barbara County Judge Michael Carrozzo, accused of pretending to be his judicial secretary's lawyer, was cancelled after he settled with the Commission on Judicial Performance, agreeing to retire in September, his attorneys said.
