Judge considers partial injunction against Trump's sanctuary city funding cuts

Judge Orrick may partially block President Trump's executive order withholding billions from 16 sanctuary jurisdictions, including San Francisco and Santa Clara County.

Senior U.S. District Judge William H. Orrick signaled Wednesday he may partially grant an injunction to prevent the Trump administration from withholding billions in federal funds from 16 "sanctuary" jurisdictions, including Santa Clara County and San Francisco, by carving out specific portions of the proposed order.
