Reines, Walter join Jones Day to expand IP and life sciences reach
Edward R. Reines and Derek C. Walter will continue representing CareDx Inc. in high-stakes litigation as they settle into new roles in Palo Alto and San Francisco.
Edward R. Reines, who spent 32 years at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP and helped open its Redwood Shores office, said his departure for Jones Day two months ago was about finding more resources and expertise to serve his clients.
He and Derek C. Walter, another longtime partner at Weil, joined Jones Day and are working at its Palo Alto and San Francisco offices, respectively. Both say the transition has been smooth and Reines said his client relationships have not changed.
