An Orange County Superior Court judge ruled in favor of Tesla Tuesday, compelling a consumer to resolve his vehicle-related claims through arbitration.
Hugo Jarquin, who purchased a Tesla Model Y in March 2023, filed a lawsuit against the electric vehicle maker, challenging the company's customer agreements. However, Judge Gassia Apkarian sided with Tesla, concluding that Jarquin had agreed to binding arbitration when he placed his vehicle order online.
