State accuses major California landlord of widespread housing violations
California Attorney General Rob Bonta has filed a civil lawsuit against Swaranjit "Mike" Nijjar, whose companies manage tens of thousands of rental units across the state, alleging hazardous living conditions, illegal rent practices, and discrimination against low-income tenants.
