A dozen lawsuits filed by cosmetologists who claim their cancer was caused by repeated exposure to toxic chemicals in hair dye were related by a Los Angeles County judge, who also scheduled the initial status conference for mid-July.
The plaintiff in the lead case says he started working as a hairdresser and cosmetologist in 1981, and colored clients' hair at least twice per day, five days per week through June 2023, when he was diagnosed with bladder cancer.
