State Supreme Court disbars San Francisco lawyer over misconduct with elderly client's trust

Justice Goodwin H. Liu, writing for a unanimous court, found that Drexel A. Bradshaw mishandled the assets and home of an elderly client and breached his fiduciary duty in a case involving "multiple counts of misconduct."

In a rare opinion on attorney discipline, the state Supreme Court on Thursday ordered that a San Francisco attorney who was found culpable for misconduct in handling the home and assets of an elderly client should be disbarred.

A divided State Bar Court Review Department recommended a six-month suspension after concluding Drexel A. Bradshaw committed no misconduct, according to a brief.
