Girardi raises 4th Amendment challenge to firm's bankruptcy

The crux of the claim is that the Girardi Keese bankruptcy was involuntary, that it was a sole proprietorship and that the government had no right to seize "papers and effects of an incompetent individual."

Tom Girardi, fighting to stay free until his wire fraud conviction appeal is completed, has raised a Fourth Amendment challenge, saying the government improperly obtained bankruptcy documents from his defunct law firm, Girardi Keese.
